Eyes Are The Windows To The Soul The eyes are the windows to the soul. They narrate everything what our lips are afraid of. In any portrait drawing I give more attention to the eyes, as they are the most beautiful and realistic feature of a portrait. I try to draw them first and with diligence. It establishes a connection between me and the portrait which let me to interact with it every second. I generally use colors like Burnt sienna, Ivory black, Prussian blue, sap green, etc., to paint the Iris and pupil according to the color of the eye. In case of Painting the scelera I use little bit of Ivory black, Cobalt blue and a bit more amount of Ivory white to bring out that grey tint. For the blood veins I use a very thin brush and pale red mixed with linseed oil or color thinner. Then I use Titanium White for the highlights and appearance of moisture.
